What seems like a century ago, before dancing with stars, there was Philippe Halsman’s jumping with the stars.
In this colorless picture book, Halsman captures the vibrancy of a few people you might remember from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s, like Audrey Hepburn, Dick Clark and even President Richard Nixon.
Who knew the combination of photography and people jumping could be so entertaining, what else can man and camera achieve? As shown below, Halsman himself and the one and only Marilyn Monroe.
I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
Jump for the Stars:
Dick Clark 1952
Diana Doors 1956
Richard Nixon 1955
Not sure who this last is gorgeous women is so this post ends here and the search begins.
